Our Architectural Metalwork Detailing Process
At Violet Steel Designs we specialize in creating precise, high-quality metalwork for a variety of architectural applications, including staircases, stainless steel balustrades, structural glass, balconies, and intricate spiral staircases.
Step 1
Our process begins with our expert drawing office team creating a detailed 3D BIM model based on the information provided by the design team. This model serves as the foundation for generating General Arrangement (GA) drawings, which are sent for client approval and on-site verification.
Step 2
Once the GA drawings are approved, we move forward with producing detailed 2D drawings for each part and assembly within the model. Along with these drawings, we provide NC data, material lists, and bolt lists as needed for fabrication.
For balcony projects, we offer a comprehensive solution package that includes everything from the metal framework to decking and soffit cladding, should you require it.
Step 3
By utilizing Advance Steel, we ensure precise modelling of concrete and brickwork interfaces alongside the steel framework, ensuring seamless integration and minimizing any potential issues on-site. This approach helps us reduce waste and costs, ultimately saving you time and money.
